Associate Principal/Data Partnership Manager (London, United Kingdom)

The Data Partnerships Manager (Europe/Asia) will develop and cultivate partnerships with various data providers in the EU/Asia regions, primarily centered around healthcare.  Located in one of our European offices, the role will support the broader organization to understand the data landscape in the EU and Asia. The Manager works closely with various practice areas (e.g. Research and Development, Patient Marketing, etc.) to identify needs and potential solutions. They will develop relationships with a network of potential sources providing traditional or innovative data assets; building collaboration models to ensure mutual benefits. This individual will have high visibility within the firm and work collaboratively with the rest of the Data Partnerships group located in the US and India.


  • Build and maintain a comprehensive healthcare data landscape in EU and Asia, with active scanning in collaboration with the Knowledge Management team in India
  • Collaborate closely with key ZS practice areas to: identify data needs, build potential new ZS offerings and solutions leveraging data
  • Work with the Data Partnerships leadership (US and India) to develop and execute on the local data strategy. Communicate and coordinate with other Data Partnerships team members to ensure alignment and avoid silos
  • Initiate and cultivate relationships with diverse potential data providers (traditional and emerging), at various levels, including senior executives.
  • Explore partnership opportunities and different business models which may benefit ZS and the data partner. Shepherd the negotiation process with different stakeholders.  
  • Manage day-to-day activity and communication with data partners; serve as key point of contact on all aspects to make partnerships live
  • Expand awareness, knowledge and usage of data partnerships within the firm; communicate use cases, facilitate training, etc.
  • Participate in client proposals and assist projects within the data area


  • Bachelor's or master's degree required, with strong academic performance in analytic and quantitative coursework
  • 6-10 years of relevant post-collegiate job experience; prior experience working with healthcare data provider preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare data and its practical applications (e.g. Patient Level Data, Electronic Medical Records, Social, Health Connected Data, Registries, Clinical, Providers databases, etc.)
  • Self-starter, with high motivation, maturity and personal initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop strong relationships with partners and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate with different practice areas – pick up concepts quickly and provide to diverse groups within the firm.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to interact with and influence senior executive

  • Self-discipline for planning and organizing tasks, and delivering in an unstructured environment
