Strategy Insights & Planning Manager/Digital Connected Health (San Francisco area, CA)

ZS is looking for an experienced Strategy Insights & Planning Manager to join our Digital and Connected Health team. The Strategy Insights & Planning Manager is responsible for working with the Digital and Connected Health leadership team to lead strategy and go to market consulting engagements for life sciences and digital health companies across the U.S.  This role will be an integral part of a growing team within ZS, and will work in multi-disciplinary teams through a broad range of client engagements.  As a senior team member, you will provide thought leadership and contribute to the development of new services and solutions for our clients.


  • Work closely with clients on key elements of their digital health strategy
  • Build collaborative relationships within client organizations across sales, market research, brand marketing, and centers of excellence (Digital Health, Innovation, etc.)
  • Support efforts to develop specific solutions for our clients in digital health commercial strategy and go to market strategy
  • Manage projects and client relationships
  • Drive business and strategy development
  • Direct multiple projects simultaneously, honing analytic and project management skills
  • Motivate, coach and serve as a role model for project team members
  • Provide thought leadership and innovation within projects and specifically within the Digital Health practice
  • Play a key role in development of capabilities and offerings in the practice


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • MBA from a top university strongly preferred, with a record of strong academic performance;
  • Approximately 6-8+ years of prior management consulting preferably in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry;
  • Knowledge of industry trends and research based customer insights;
  • Expertise in leading successful strategy engagements;
  • Record of successful and continued business development;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form;
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to influence others;
  • Unstructured problem-solving skills, with an ability both to see the big picture and delve into details;
  • Structured communication skills to enable clear communication to clients that influences decisions;
  • Excellent organization & planning skills.


ZS is a global consulting firm; fluency in English is required, additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
