Associate Principal/Pipeline & Launch Strategy (San Francisco area, CA)

ZS's Business Consulting group partners with clients to design and deliver solutions to help them tackle a broad range of business challenges. Our teams work on multiple projects simultaneously, leveraging advanced data analytics and problem-solving techniques. Our recommendations and solutions are based on rigorous research and analysis underpinned by deep expertise and thought leadership.

ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL/PIPELINE & LAUNCH STRATEGY

Responsibilities:

  • Significant direct client interaction, managing multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Motivate, coach and serve as a role model for project team members;
  • Own responsibility for work product quality and relevance to client decisions;
  • Lead efforts to provide solutions to our clients to optimize and manage portfolio strategy.
  • Support the marketing practice offerings in the following specific solution areas: portfolio strategy, market and opportunity assessment, business development and early commercialization capability
  • Establish or maintain ongoing client relationships with key decision makers that drive new business development;
  • Play a key role in development of capabilities and offerings in the practice
  • Provide thought leadership and innovation within projects and across practice areas;
  • Support development of firm capabilities and offerings (recruitment, training, internal initiatives)
  • Drive sales growth by leading the effort to develop new business in the Pharmaceutical space within Marketing

Qualifications:    

  • Bachelor’s degree, with MBA degree strongly preferred, from strong academic program, although additional relevant work experience may substitute
  • 10-15 years marketing strategy experience in life sciences industry or consulting to the industry with a significant depth of experience in the early commercial space
  • Prior management consulting experience, with a preference for practice lead responsibilities;
  • Demonstrated success in business development
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytic problem solving experience
  • Executive-level presence and communication
  • Prior leadership experience

 

ZS is a global consulting firm; fluency in English is required, additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
