Strategy Insights & Planning Consultant/Customer-Centric Marketing (Princeton, NJ)

ZS’s Customer Centric Marketing (CCM) team is focused on using extensive customer knowledge about value, channel and offer preferences to design integrated marketing and sales promotion campaigns that deliver a personalized customer experience resulting in competitive advantage by consistently engaging customers, improving sales and marketing performance at scale.  We have an opening at the Business Consultant level to join our Multi-Channel Marketing team within our CCM practice.


We seek a highly motivated experienced professional for our Customer Centric Marketing team in our Princeton, NJ office. This position is responsible for leading the development, deployment and optimization of marketing campaigns to healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, etc. and consumers / patients. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the campaign management process, strong team leadership skills, and a foundational knowledge in promotion strategy.  A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills to engage with brand team leaders and other senior positions.


  • Partner with the brand team, analytics team, and promotion strategists to influence the development of promotion strategy
  • Ensure the campaign management team is successful in:
    • Translating the Customer Engagement Strategy into the Tactical Promotion Plan
    • Partnering and building strong relationships with the Marketing Agencies and 3rd Party Vendors to ensure that each agency is properly on-boarded and prepared for campaign delivery
  • Partnering with IT to ensure that:
    • The current campaign process is fully operational (e.g. tools are properly working, suppression logic is correct, etc.)
    • New tools / processes / data are fully investigated and incorporated into the campaign management process (e.g. incorporation of digital data from websites into the campaign process, etc.)
  • Proactively recommend new reports / KPIs that provide value to the organization and enable further campaign optimization
  • Support the campaign management team in identifying and resolving any campaign delivery issues


  • BA/BS degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of prior relevant work experience
  • Proven team leadership skills
  • Aptitude for, and enjoyment of, leading and managing teams
  • Strong oral and written communication skills that enable personal impact with senior-level decision makers
  • Analytic problem solving skills, with a creative and innovative outlook


ZS is a global consulting firm; fluency in English is required, additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
