Associate Principal/Customer Centric Marketing - Digital Solutions (New York, NY or Princeton, NJ)

A ZS Associate Principal – Digital  Solutions is a senior role in the firm and will serve as the thought leader in the Customer Centric Marketing space.  This role will have responsibility to develop innovative offerings, lead business development work with clients, develop strategic relationship with our client’s Functional and IT Heads (including Head of Digital, Chief Digital Officers) and maintain a portfolio of large scale CCM and Digital transformation programs. The successful candidate will work closely with ZS leadership, grow the practice by identifying and building new client opportunities and building trusted advisory relationships with executives at the company’s largest pharmaceutical and medical device accounts. 



  • Lead large scale client business development and delivery engagements in the Life Sciences Industry - Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Devices sector;
  • Design and manage transformation programs and client relationships particularly in the area of Digital, AI Engines, Campaign Technology and Operations, and Marketing Data Management & Analytics;
  • Play a lead role in shaping our client’s future state Digital and CCM/Patient Centricity and facilitate change in client organizations
  • Lead innovations, new offering development and commercialization of capabilities in the areas of Digital/AI/Marketing Technology
  • Lead development teams (onshore/offshore) to ensure vision is implemented to meet current business needs and future scale;
  • Drive and nurture partnerships with Technology platform providers
  • Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business. Effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds;
  • Play an active role in counseling and mentoring Managers and Consultants within the organization;



  • A bachelor’s/master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a top university;
  • MBA or Advanced Degree is highly desirable;
  • 10+ years’ experience in life science industry management consulting;
  • 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role within a Management Consulting/Professional services firm;
  • Demonstrated deep life sciences industry knowledge with a functional expertise in sales and marketing execution;
  • Demonstrated experience with driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects in Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies; 
  • Strong ability to assess a company’s CCM or Digital maturity through senior stakeholder interviews, organizational discovery and benchmarks;
  • Strong ability to formulate our client’s CCM strategy, implementation roadmap and operating models;
  • Strong ability to lead transformation programs that spans business strategy, advanced analytics & AI, and Digital Technologies
  • Demonstrated experience and strong credentials in managing large scale change programs leveraging some or all of the following technology pillars:
    • CRM – e.g. Salesforce.com, Veeva
    • Marketing Cloud & Digital Platforms – e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe
  • Ability to lead a global virtual team of consulting professionals across multiple projects; 
  • A strong work ethic;
  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs;
  • Executive-level presence and communication;





ZS is a global consulting firm; fluency in English is required, additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
