Talent & Leadership Architect (Philadelphia, PA)

ZS's People and Performance Expertise Center helps clients analyze and manage the “people levers” that drive business results. We have developed a strong team focused on helping its clients get the best from their people in order to win in the marketplace. We are seeking to expand the team in the Talent Strategy area, which focuses on talent assessment, leadership and personalized development.   The Talent Strategy team have developed some innovative new products and are looking to increase the team to support growing demand. 

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on continuing to develop the product suite, for example, developing simulations and assessment tools.  We are looking for applicants with a robust understanding of assessment principles and practice and the ability to translate these into reliable and valid tools that can be readily deployed to clients. Successful applicants will need to balance creativity with a passion for ensuring robust and valid assessment processes.

  • Experience in delivering assessments using a range of different methodologies would be helpful. The aim would be to support the successful applicant to build their assessment expertise in both designing and implementing assessment tools and linking them to personal development plans.

  • Focus on  managing the implementation of assessment and personalized development projects, with a focus on managing and connecting the range of stakeholders (internal and external) and overseeing the delivery of assessment projects in clients.  

  • Understand the role of competencies and job architecture as the foundation stone for connecting across the employee life cycle. 

  • Develop and implement competencies in either an assessment or development sphere and in managing complex assessment or development projects would be helpful. The aim would be to support the successful applicant to manage and deliver increasingly complex talent projects in a global context.

  • Work with project leadership to define project scope and develop approach;
  • Lead project task execution by ensuring progress, organizing project data and coordinating team meetings;\
  • Provide thought leadership and innovation within projects and practice areas; 
  • Participate in business development;
  • Contribute to internal firm activities;
  • Coach and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's (and often graduate) degrees in Psychology, Organization Psychology, Learning & Development, Human Resources, or Business etc.
  • 5-7 years of work experience, preferably in developing assessment tools and contributing to innovative approaches to assessment
  • High motivation, good work ethic, maturity and personal initiative;
  • Aptitude for, and enjoyment of, leading and managing teams;
  • Effective oral and written communication skills that enable personal impact with senior-level decision makers;
  • Strong attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset;
  • Adaptable work style; able to work effectively across cultures, and demonstrates strong rapport building skills
  • Analytic problem solving skills, with a creative and innovative outlook;
  • Client service orientation.

ZS is a global consulting firm; fluency in English is required, additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
