MANAGER- PIPELINE & LAUNCH STRATEGY (New York, NY)

ZS’s Pipeline & Launch Strategy practice area focuses on strategic choices in four related areas: Therapeutic Area & Disease Area Strategy; Pipeline & Pipeline Asset Strategy; Business Development, Licensing, and Mergers & Acquisitions; and New Product Launch & Commercialization. We help clients think about “Where to Play” and “How to Win” choices. “Where to Play” choices include prioritizing business units, therapeutic or disease areas, geographic markets, and platforms and technologies for future growth. “How to Win” choices include identifying products for in-licensing or acquisition, conducting due-diligence and developing integrated strategies for future products from early development through launch. Our solutions are based in rigorous research underpinned by deep expertise and thought leadership.

Our New York office is seeking candidates with relevant consulting experience and/or a combination of consulting/industry expereince in life sciences, specifically in Pipeline Stragegy & Launch to help drive new business and expand our capabilities in this space. 

 

MANAGER - PIPELINE & LAUNCH STRATEGY

 

Responsibilities:

  • Significant direct client interaction, managing multiple projects simultaneously in life sciences;
  • Play an active role in mentoring and serve as a role model for junior project team members;
  • Own responsibility for work product quality, expected timelines and budgets;
  • Update senior leaders and prepare and present the majority of client presentations
  • Establish or maintain ongoing client relationships with key decision makers that drive new business development;
  • Play a key role in development of capabilities and offerings in the practice
  • Provide thought leadership and innovation within projects and across practice areas;
  • Drive sales growth in an effort to develop new business in the Pharmaceutical space within Marketing

 

Qualifications:    

  • Bachelor’s degree, with MBA degree strongly preferred, from strong academic program, although additional relevant work experience may substitute
  • 6-10 years marketing strategy experience in the life sciences industry or consulting to the industry with a significant depth of experience in the early commercial space
  • Prior management consulting experience
  • Demonstrated success in business development
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytic problem-solving experience
  • Executive-level presence and communication
  • Prior leadership experience

ZS is a global consulting firm; fluency in English is required, additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
