Human Resources Associate - Recruiting/Inclusion & Diversity (Evanston,IL)

Human Resources develops and executes successful recruiting programs, learning and expertise-development initiatives, strategic staffing assignments, effective reporting and analytics, performance management processes, and work-life benefits and operations.


We seek a creative & energetic Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) recruiting professional to join our Evanston, IL office. Recruiters have responsibility for hiring talent across North America through creative sourcing, coordinating the resume review and interview process and working collaboratively across offices with hiring managers and recruiters. The I&D Recruiter will partner with our diversity & inclusion team to help recruit diverse talent for our global offices. 

  • Source, pre-screen and attract/close candidates for experienced hiring opportunities;
  • Work closely with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to build innovative talent strategies for diversity recruiting initiatives across North America, Europe & Asia;
  • Manage interview scheduling and logistics, including candidate evaluations;
  • Build global network of underrepresented talent through continuous market research and on-going relationship building;
  • Source new talent through various channels including: Internet & Online Research, Social Media & Blogs, Networking, Professional Associations, Alumni, Employee Referrals, Job Boards, Direct Applications and the company ATS (Applicant Tracking System);
  • Identify and build relationships (internally & externally) with diversity groups, alliances, partners and vendors;
  • Analyze the effectiveness of efforts and provide data driven recommendations related to I&D recruiting strategies;
  • Partner with other teams within ZS to advance I&D efforts and offer feedback and best practice advice on I&D recruiting and sourcing initiatives;
  • Assist in creating recruitment marketing materials for web, social and other platforms;
  • Engage with diverse talent pools globally.


  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, coupled with a record of high academic or personal achievement;
  • 2-5 years’ work experience in a fast-paced corporate research or sourcing role;
  • Advanced internet research experience using Boolean search techniques is desirable;  
  • Can demonstrate a genuine interest in corporate recruiting and sourcing (including: headhunting, building talent pipelines, building market intelligence reports and recommending strong talent);
  • Knowledge of recruiting/placement laws and practices a plus;
  • Comfortable engaging with senior-level candidates and stakeholders – excellent communication skills and maturity;
  • A team player with excellent organizational & multi-tasking skills (ability to work on multiple projects in parallel and prioritize); attention to detail and a strong work ethic;
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


ZS is a global consulting firm; fluency in English is required, additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
