We seek an experienced marketing professional for an Industry Marketing Lead role in our Evanston, IL office. Reporting to the Medtech & HPP Industry Marketing Manager, this role is a business partner and advisor to ZS healthcare industry leadership, and is responsible for the design, development and execution of the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for ZS’s solutions targeted at the healthcare market.


The role collaborates with business leaders to translate business objectives into a value-driving strategic marketing plan for a portfolio of offerings, and manages ongoing relationships with business stakeholders. This role develops and executes content strategy in collaboration with the editorial team and executes awareness and/or lead generation campaigns in collaboration with demand generation and digital teams which may include digital and social marketing, e-mail, webinars and paid search.


This role uses knowledge of the healthcare industry and ZS offerings to  build a strategic marketing program to influence perceptions of ZS with targeted audiences. The role requires an understanding of marketing fundamentals for strategic planning and strong marketing execution skills for tactical responsibilities.

  • Create compelling value proposition statements for a variety of marketing and sales channels;
  • Develop marketing collateral, promotional content and sales enablement content such as email copy, brochures, web copy, presentations and sales primers (Own and drive the content develop process, interview SMEs, manage review/approval process, etc.);
  • Mentorship and day-to-day management of junior team member(s) to ensure focus on defined priorities and delivery of expected results; ;
  • Develop and execute public relations strategy  with hands-on support from ZS’ PR agency;
  • Measure and assess marketing activities, and report on outcomes and program effectiveness to business stakeholders;
  • Perform market research and competitive analysis to support the marketing strategy;
  • Create and work within budget that supports the established marketing plan;
  • Attend and participate in industry events and conferences;



  • Bachelor's degree required in marketing or a related business discipline, advanced degree preferred;
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, professional services or B2B technology marketing (product or solution) preferred, experience marketing to the healthcare payer and provider industries a plus;
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members;
  • Experience developing and managing plans, budgets and deadlines as well as achieving and evaluating results;
  • Demonstrated experience translating value propositions into creative and unique sales materials, including brochures, web copy, thought leadership, presentations and sales primers;
  • Experience working with data and data tools to manipulate, analyze and interpret marketing data and outcome measures;
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills – both verbal and written, including experience presenting to and influencing senior executives in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment;
  • Experience balancing multiple tasks and delivering marketing tactics on deadline and within budget;
  • Demonstrated experience understanding content strategy and operations; aligning content to buyer’s journey and content marketing.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (Marketo), CRM systems (, Social media, and SEO a plus.
  • Strong international collaboration skills, working with India preferred. Ability to work at early morning hours, think ahead and leverage time with global colleagues effectively so that individual work achieves maximum impact;
  • Travel approximately 10%. Ability to travel internationally up to 3 times per year;
  • Must be a self-starter that is able to learn quickly and independently.
