Enterprise Data Management Lead (Evanston, IL)

ZS IT Support teams are aligned with the company’s business strategy and operating model and aims to provide its 5000 plus employees and their clients the right tools and information for high performance. The IT organization focuses on providing products and services to ZS to ensure successful business outcomes. This involves providing a scalable, sustainable and reliable IT infrastructure, customized applications, messaging and collaboration products, Business Intelligence and Database administration support along with a reliable 24*7 uninterrupted high-quality technology support services.

ENTERPRISE DATA MANAGEMENT LEAD

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with lead to assist with planning, executing, and managing the strategic integration of new data and data stores into existing systems and infrastructure throughout the enterprise, including introduction of Cloud services as applicable.
  • Ensure that integration projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Ensure that integration planning and practices are aligned with strategic business goals and the company’s overall strategic vision.
  • Assist in developing standards and processes to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives.
  • Revise DI architectures when required to be compatible with changing business needs and client standards so that all legal, compliance, and operational requirements, such as data sovereignty, regulatory security and privacy policies, and service level agreements (SLA), are accounted for.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality through the introduction and enforcement of information handling processes and organization of the DI processes.
  • Collaborate with BI specialists to establish overarching strategies and service oriented architecture. Able to lead design discussions and participate actively in design/code review sessions

Qualifications:​

  • Bachelor's/master's degree with a specialization in Computer or IT or other computer-related disciplines.
  • 4-8 years of relevant industry experience working on medium-large scale technology solutions.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional databases between disparate business units and systems.
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping and methodology development, and data mapping.
  • Technically fluent in programming languages, including one or more of the following: Python, C# and PowerShell
  • Experience with development on AWS (Amazon web services) is preferable
  • Direct, hands-on experience with automated DI tools.
  • Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques.
  • Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
  • Ability to gain a strong understanding of end-user needs and requirements.
  • Ability to gain an excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate results and issues to internal teams.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Ability to work within a virtual global team environment and contribute to the overall timely delivery of multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of current issues, practices, methodologies, and trends in the Data Integration domain.
  • Willingness to travel to other global offices as needed to work with other internal project teams.
  • Flair for coding and learning new domain is desirable
