The Marketing & Communications team helps build the ZS brand, champion thought leadership, support business development and engage our past, present and future workforce.

BRAND MANAGER

We seek a dynamic Brand Manager to join our Marketing & Communications team in Evanston, IL. This role will be an individual performer, but with manager-level seniority and will report to the Associate Director of Marketing Operations. As the Brand Manager you will be responsible to define, protect, promote and evolve the ZS brand family, including both the core ZS brand and its portfolio of sub-brands across our products and services. As our leading brand champion, you will manage ZS’s brand promise, differentiators, brand positioning, brand personality, brand messaging and visual brand identity. You will also execute ZS brand awareness and demand campaigns and will contribute/influence similar campaigns for products/services and people/recruiting promotions. The ideal candidate for this position is an energetic professional who can multi-task effectively, offer quick and accurate advice and provide creative input to help advance our brands. Our Brand Manager will act as the liaison between our marketing team and the development and design department to create compelling and eye-catching brand assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Is brand champion and expert, ensuring brand integrity in all respects.
  • Drive annual brand planning process to develop strategies and objectives for building and executing year-round brand engagement through partnerships, social media, events, and other marketing vehicles.
  • Define ZS’s brand promise, differentiators, brand positioning, brand personality and brand messaging.
  • Manage the strategy for our visual brand identity. (Executes in partnership with the Creative Services support.)
  • Perform regular market research studies to gather important brand data.
  • Use category and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and drive innovation in product development as well as marketing initiatives.
  • Assist in the design of product and services packaging.
  • Plan, implement, and execute successful marketing programs (including brand strategic planning, market positioning, pricing, promotion, advertising).
  • Partner with advertising agencies to manage brand marketing campaigns.
  • Provide reporting and analysis to measure the impact of marketing activities and strategic recommendations.

Requirements:     

  • Bachelor’s degree required, marketing or focused preferred, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing
  • General brand management experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Power Point/Word
