Digital Operations - Associate Consultant (East Coast)

The Customer Centric Marketing (CCM) team at ZS is focused on using extensive customer knowledge about value, channel and offer preferences to design integrated marketing and sales promotion campaigns that deliver a personalized customer experience resulting in competitive advantage by consistently engaging customers, improving sales and marketing performance at scale.  We have an opening at the Associate Consultant level to join our Multi-Channel Marketing team within our CCM practice.




We are currently seeking applicants for a Digital Operations Associate Consultant to join our Consumer Centric Marketing  (CCM) practice, with a focus on Optimizing and Orchestrating Customer Engagement across customer types (Patient, HCP, Payers, etc.). The person in this role will be responsible for working with Principals, Associate Principals, Managers and Consultants to build our customer marketing solutions across sales, patient services, marketing and medical.   Qualified candidates will possess the skills detailed below and relevant work experience.  Immediate responsibility for supporting the engagement and development of Customer Centric / Omnichannel Digital offerings, leading project teams, and collaborating with other ZS leaders to build client relationships.



  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients, identifying areas for business process improvements, campaign optimization opportunities and help define innovative solutions across customer types using marketing and services automation platforms
  • Oversee and support marketing automation efforts, including build and use of tools such as Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo or other automation platforms
  • Help clients adapt their engagement strategies to optimize and orchestrate, end-to-end
  • Work with clients to execute engagement strategy, establish operational standards, policies and procedures, implement marketing operations and/or leverage next best action/services
  • Analyzes marketing performance data.  Works with clients to establish & implement plans to achieve engagement goals & key program success indicators
  • Strategically assess operational and business strategy processes to identify improvement opportunities including automation and analytical decision making
  • Understands regulatory and compliance aspects of marketing and services
  • Help clients to manage vendor relationships for externally led media programs aligned to brand strategy and campaign execution
  • Motivates, coaches and serves as a role model for new and junior project team members


  • A strong passion for digital marketing
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience with Digital Content / Marketing Automation Platforms (Salesforce / Adobe preferred – implementation or operations)
    • +2 years of strong Email and/or Web coding experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
    • +2 years of strong marketing automation platform use, including AI components, integration with Google Analytics, journey development, social integration, cross-channel execution
    • Understanding of Email HTML coding using Adaptive or Responsive Design
    • Experience using testing tools such as Litmus, Acid, etc.
      • Exposure to modular design and personalization approaches
    • Advanced use of JavaScript to dynamically display on-page textual elements, preferred but not required
  • Solid understanding of analytics and reporting needs to measure performance and outcomes of campaigns, can help brand teams consider ways to optimize based on the data
  • Customer Engagement, marketing and communications experience
  • Relevant project / program management experience
  • Prior consulting experience is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytic problem-solving experience


ZS is a global consulting firm; fluency in English is required, additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
