Strategy Insights & Planning Manager/Market Research/Customer Insights (Boston, MA)

BUSINESS CONSULTING MANAGER - MARKET RESEARCH/CUSTOMER INSIGHTS

ZS is seeking a Manager for the Boston office to leverage their experience and take responsibility for customer insights and market research projects, lead client relationships and contribute to business development immediately

Responsibilities:

• Significant direct client interaction, managing multiple projects simultaneously;
• Motivate, coach and serve as a role model for project team members;
• Own responsibility for work product quality and relevance to client decisions;
• Update senior leaders and prepare and present the majority of client presentations;
• Establish or maintain ongoing client relationships with key decision makers that drive new business     development;
• Provide thought leadership and innovation within projects and across practice areas;
• Support development of firm capabilities and offerings (recruitment, training, internal initiatives);

  • Drive business and strategy development

Qualifications:

  • MBA or PhD in marketing, decision sciences or related discipline preferred, though Bachelors or Masters degree with extensive track record of success in customer insights / market research will also be considered.
  • Preferably 7-9 years of professional consulting experience in the life sciences/pharma
  • Approximately 6-8+ years of experience leading primary market research projects
  • Expertise in qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies and research
  • Proficiency in connecting customer insights to client business issues and decisions
  • Record of successful and continued business development
  • Team development and management
  • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to influence others
  • Analytic problem solving skills, with an ability both to see the big picture and delve into details
  • Excellent organization & planning skills

 

ZS is a global consulting firm; fluency in English is required, additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
